About Me

My name is Jay Dolan.  I live in Morrisville, North Carolina, which is the exact center between Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill.  I’ve described it as twenty minutes to wherever I want to get to.   I expect to end up in China in twenty minutes someday soon.

I’m a classically trained singer who graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.  By classically trained, that means I can sing opera.  I mostly sing in musicals however.  They’re more fun and are produced more.  Also, who wants to wear pantaloons when you can be a slanderous newspaper editor, a rock and roll zombie, or a murderous barber?  Some musicals are just THAT cool.

I love all types of music and have very strong opinions on what makes good music.  But really, don’t get me started.

This blog serves as my record of thoughts, feelings, life experiences, and whatever else I deem suitable to share with the entire internet.  Even you, Mom.
